I’ve found that a good routine in the morning and night can make a big difference in my mental health. It’s really nice to have consistency and it makes your life easier by having to make fewer decisions. Here’s how I wind down–feel free to take it for yourself!
Engage Your Mind Without A Screen

This seems to be harder and harder to do nowadays, but it’s so important. Do you ever wake up in the morning and check your phone immediately, scroll social media, and it feels like you’ve been thrown off your center before you even leave bed?
I have always been a someone who journals. It is really nice to write down how you’re feeling. Sometimes I go back to read how I was feeling, other times I never go back.
If you’re not into journaling, try a book or audiobook. I’ve never been a fan of Kindles because part of the allure of reading for me is getting away from screens, but even that is a better option than your iPhone.
Experiment With Supplements

It’s been fascinating to see certain things become destigmatized over the years. Not to be confused with marijuana, CBD has really helped me fall asleep at night. It’s a bit hard to explain, but I’ll try!
Your body feels calm, but your mind is still in tact. That’s the main difference between CBD and THC, and why I strongly prefer CBD. For me, Sunday Scaries has produced the best result. Aptly named after an all too familiar feeling, there are a variety of ways to consume this, mainly gummies and tinctures.
Skin Care

So, so important! Especially on hectic days, while I don’t always want to, I always make time for a skin care routine at night. Sometimes more complex than others, but at least wash your face to get rid of makeup, and moisturize.
Sometimes I’ll throw in eye cream, toner & serum, but I’d say these aren’t as important as the ones mentioned above. Let me know if you guys try any of what I’ve mentioned above. I promise it works!
