Tecovas, as big as they are, are a relatively new brand. Founded in 2015, they offer a nice blend of style, comfort & quality. The upper part of the boot is full grain leather, with a hybrid of leather & synthetic for the sole. On the outsole, the vibram rubber and leather ensure you won’t be slipping and falling anytime soon. The only falling you’ll be doing is for their beautiful designs.

Bovine, cowhide, suede & more, you can find any material and look you’re going for. My personal favorite is The Annie, which offers a pointed toe and 14″ shaft. This goes perfectly with a sundress for a beautiful spring afternoon out on the town! I also enjoy the Abby!

Ariat

Ariat is the bigger brand of the two, with almost double the amount of monthly visitors (3.14M compared to Tecovas’ 1.74M). They are renowned for their comfort, as well as their style, of course. One thing they really excel in is boots for wide feet, which is often a struggle to find. These are also more affordable in comparison, great if you’re on a budget.

Looking at the WorkHog boot, for instance, you can see why Ariat is better for job sites, and more versatile outdoor actives in general. They are waterproof and a bit stronger than the fashion-first style of Tecovas. If you’re hunting horseback riding or a job site, Ariat has got you covered.
